We are always looking for friendly people to help us out at our Christmas Tree Lot.  No one is paid and the money raise by the tree sales goes back into the community.   We are looking for volunteers to help support us during our fundraising events.   Want to volunteer and help.

The Vancouver South Lions have been supporting the South Vancouver community since 1944.  We were instrumental in paving Fraser St., we have committed hundreds of thousands of dollars to the community and hundreds of thousands of volunteer hours to events and projects in South Vancouver.

The Vancouver South Lions Club is a proud member of Lions Clubs International. Our Club is located in Vancouver, BC, Canada, and was chartered over 60 years ago in 1944.


Our Club's mission statement is:

"The Vancouver South Lions Club is a community service organization that supports, through the allocation of financial or human resources, the objectives of Lions Clubs International and most importantly the residents of the Vancouver south community." Our primary value philosophies are community service and fellowship.

Lion Art Isley

Sad news fellow Lions, we have lost a great man and a great Lion.  Lion Art Isley was a super man who was honest and straight forward.  He served the Lions and his family with great integrity and work ethic.  Our heart felt condolenses to his wonderful wife Patty, his son Lion Doug and son Bruce.  His obituary from the Vancouver Sun follows here:

ISLEY, Arthur (Art) Alfred Born July 18, 1930 in Zealandia Sask. Passed peacefully on October 26, 2011. He will be missed by wife Patty, sons Doug and Bruce, granddaughter Katie, 3 sisters and 1 brother, predeceased by mother and father, 3 sisters and 4 brothers. Art arrived in Vancouver in fall of 1948 retired from CP Rail after 38 years. Art enjoyed golfing, curling at Marpole C. C. P. P. and was a long standing member of Vancouver South Lions Club.Thank you to VGH step down unit nurses; Lisa, Meg and especially Stacy. No service by request. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Freemasons Cancer Car Program 1495 W 8th Ave, Vancouver B.C. V6H 1C9.
